Journey to the bottom of the Bay
In October I circumavigated Port Philip Bay and spent a few days checking out the towns, beaches & National Parks nearThe Rip.
The Rip is the 3.5km wide entrance to the bay. It was great watchin all the giant frieghters pass through this narrow strech of water.

Catchin the ferry across from Queenscliff to Sorrento was one of the highlights of the trip. I am looking forward to catchin the Spirit of Tasmania in febuary for the Great Tassie Bike Ride.

On the ferry we got even closer to the ships as we past around them.

Walking along the beach on the south-side of the Mornington Penninsula I came across this fence. Beyond is the section of Commonwealth Land that was recently in the news that the government was "considering" selling off. It is currently controlled by the military with a big fence and signs that read
DO NOT ENTER.

I was a good boy and didn't climb the fence...
I just walked through the tunnel under the cliff (see pic below)

on the other side of the fence were wide open sandy beackes, perfectly smooth and undisturbed by human footprints...

...other than mine
